In our business, we are somewhat limited in what we can change once we receive a prospective client's business plan, presentation or executive summary.

We might like the business itself and think it has a good possibility of getting funded but if the presentation doesn't reflect why we liked the business. No one is going to really pay attention or take the funding request serious. Even if it’s a great idea or sure to make a lot of money.

There are so many parts big and small that Funders look at when deciding if they should call you back or not.

Believe me it's not their fault, even if you followed to the letter everything that was said by the Funder personally, usually on their website or at a funding event.

You may feel that's exactly what you sent, exactly what they said they wanted.

If you’re looking for millions of dollars in funding weather from investors or private lenders, you better have a plan that looks like it cost at the least, a few thousand dollars. If you don't have that type of money to spend your probably not going to get any type of noteworthy response anyway.

Never really helps.
